This DVD presents the history of the Spitfire, using archive and original footage, and features interviews with pilots to find out what it is about the craft that makes it so enduring.

Using additional archive, original footage, and computer graphics this DVD looks at how the spitfire came into being; how it was transformed into a very effective fighter through numerous marks; and the challenges of restoring them and keeping them flying today.
