Description

Once upon a time, roughly nine years ago, Jefferson Pierce lived two lives. He had a public life with his wife and daughters Jennifer and Anissa. He also had a secret identity as the superhero named Black Lightning who used electricity as a weapon against bad guys. In the present, Pierce is no longer married, and he tries to save lives in other ways. He works as the Garfield High School Principal in Freeland and tries to teach his students and daughters how to live better lives. When one of his best students starts to go down a dark path and Jennifer tries to face off against a local gang called the 100 that has brought a rash of crime to the area, Pierce makes the decision to become Black Lightening again to save his family and community.
